After half a decade in stealth mode, meticulously crafting and refining our groundbreaking project, we are thrilled to step out of the shadows.

Demo With Lagos Fire and Rescue Services 2019

Our ambitious goal? To establish the cornerstone of a Pan-African LoRaWAN network and infrastructure system. Today marks a momentous occasion as we unveil the first phase of our project, set to revolutionize the way we approach safety and security in the urban landscape through the innovative lens of IoT (Internet of Things).

Our journey commences in the bustling heart of Lagos, Nigeria, at the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja. This strategic choice to kickstart our smart city initiative in Africa by addressing the fundamental issues of safety and security underscores our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its inhabitants.

Introducing ‘Lagos Fire’

At the core of our launch is ‘Lagos Fire’, a robust Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system designed to optimize fire service operations. This sophisticated platform does not merely facilitate management efficiency; it seamlessly integrates with a network of sensors, including state-of-the-art LoRaWAN smoke detectors. This integration is crucial, as it provides real-time data to C3, the Lagos State Command and Control Centre, ensuring a swift and coordinated response to emergencies.

The fruition of ‘Lagos Fire’ could not have been possible without the invaluable support and collaboration from several key entities: The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, The Ministry of Special Duties, The Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Lagos State Safety Commission. Their unwavering backing has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.

Building the LoRaWAN Network: A Collaborative Effort

A pivotal element of our initiative is the establishment of the LoRaWAN network. We are elated to have forged a partnership with the Fire Service, which has graciously permitted us to install base stations atop their communication towers. This collaboration marks the first step towards deploying an extensive array of IoT devices throughout Lagos and, eventually, across Sub-Saharan Africa.

We extend an open invitation to startups and enterprises eager to leverage our network for the development or expansion of their IoT ventures. Our offering encompasses both network-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service, providing a versatile foundation for a myriad of applications.

Forging Strategic Partnerships: Expanding Our Ecosystem

Our journey has been enriched by forming strategic alliances with industry leaders. In collaboration with iHorn (China Security & Fire IoT Sensing Co., Ltd.), we have received an initial batch of smoke detectors and are in the process of developing an affordable version tailored for the Sub-Saharan African market.

Our engagement with Netmore has been equally fruitful, focusing on gateway testing and within lagos and sub-Saharan Africa.

The Endless Possibilities of LoRaWAN

The advent of LoRaWAN technology heralds a new era of endless possibilities. Its low power, long-range communication capabilities make it an ideal backbone for a wide range of IoT applications, from environmental monitoring to smart agriculture. Our mission extends beyond the provision of technology; it is about weaving a tapestry of connected solutions that enhance public safety, foster economic growth, and pave the way for sustainable urban development.

Looking Ahead: A Connected, Safe, and Smart Africa

As we embark on this journey, our vision for a connected, safe, and smart Africa is more tangible than ever. The launch of our first phase projects in Lagos is just the beginning. We stand at the cusp of a technological revolution that will redefine the landscape of African cities, making them more resilient, efficient, and inclusive.

Our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability will continue to drive our efforts as we expand our reach across the continent. The future of smart cities in Africa is bright, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this transformative movement. Join us as we chart a new course towards a safer, smarter, and more connected African continent.
